About

what's in the name?

There will always be a place for beautiful tactile physical objects that spark joy. Digital devices help us with so many things – sketching, reading, listening, connecting – but can be very distracting when pursuing a more mindful life.

Calendars as you know them might be those purely functional objects hidden in the cupboard. However, as timeless design classics from Massimo Vignelli, Enzo Mari, and Giorgio Della Beffa prove, they don't have to be.

Timepiece's aim is to build on their legacy, offering bold yet functional design classics for your personal moments in time.

Like analogue watches, a calendar is time-keeping device too so why not call it a timepiece, at least that special one that brings you joy?

Our products

Timepiece launched with three collections exploring distinct directions for a printed calendar: from planners providing a good overview of the year ahead, to posters that embrace the calendar form, but presenting something very personal.

Modern office interior with a desk and computer, featuring a 'STUDIO' sign.

Design process

Every Timepiece design is an original, conceived and crafted at the Mat Cuk Design studio in London. Mat, founder and creative director, strongly believes for the society to thrive, creative work should be done by humans supported by smart technology and not the other way around.

Most printed calendars eventually become obsolete as trackers of time, but we’re sure you’ll upcycle or at least recycle them in the new year.

Our design studio runs on renewable sources only. We work with local community so that we can walk or cycle (or, when necessary, use an electric car).

We try to reuse, repair and find creative solutions for any “waste” that we generate.

Printing and framing

Print on demand generates minimal waste as everything is made after you place an order.

We choose printing and framing suppliers that can consistently demonstrate their high commitment to sustainability.

We prioritise recycled materials, and use paper, wood and other raw materials from certified renewable sources, use toxin-free water-based inks and avoid using single-use plastics where alternatives exist.

We’re going to continue searching for better solutions to improve our sustainable credentials.

Shipping

Printing products near you avoids wasteful shipping journeys. You'll get your things faster and it will cost less too.

International freight transport is responsible for a substantial chunk of carbon emissions globally. By shipping our printed products from a print studio near you we're reducing that footprint.
